SCANPH has been informed by the Federal Policy Project that Senator Dianne Feinstein is now a co-signer to S. 3326, the Job Creation and Housing Act of 2010. Senator Feinstein now joins Senator Barbara Boxer as co-signers to this important legislation for affordable homes, demonstrating strong leadership in California for housing and jobs.

The California Housing Partnership released a survey of California LIHTC developers showing that with improvements to the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program such as the ones included in S. 3326 could result in as many as 155 LIHTC developments moving forward this year providing more than 16,000 jobs and nearly 13,000 affordable homes in California.

With Senator Feinstein joining Senator Boxer in support, there are now seven co-sponsors of Cantwell's bill, which would authorize the exchange of 4% Tax Credits in addition to allowing a five-year carryback of Credits against prior year profits.
