UNIDAD Coalition proudly announces the availability of grant funds through a newly established Affordable Housing Grant Program. This program offers grants to 501(c)(3) nonprofits engaged in developing affordable housing units in South Los Angeles. The grant funds are aimed at supporting nonprofits who are working to address the housing needs of low-income tenants by proving readily available capital for projects that will result in the development of new, or the preservation of existing, affordable housing opportunities. Grants of up to $200,000 are available for projects located near 2300 and 2327 South Flower Street in South Los Angeles. The Affordable Housing Grant Program is one component of the Lorenzo Community Benefits Agreement that was entered into between Palmer/Flower Street Properties LP and various community organizations. Please visit http://www.saje.net/ for more information. Applications are due no later than July 20 at 5:00 pm.
