Ameriprise Financial Accepting Applications for Community Relations Grants Program

Ameriprise Financial, Inc., is accepting grant applications for the third cycle of its 2010 Community Relations grantmaking program. Ameriprise recently completed the first of its three funding cycles for 2010, awarding more than $1.1 million in total grants to 72 nonprofit organizations under the company's three funding areas - meeting basic needs, supporting community vitality, and volunteer-driven causes. Second-cycle grant decisions will be announced in August.

2010 - 2011 Enterprise Grant Funding

Enterprise Los Angeles invites nonprofit housing developers to submit a request for grant funding to strengthen organizational capacity to complete specific real estate projects, advance green affordable housing, as well as support resident services activities and supportive housing. We expect that these funds will be used for a variety of activities to advance our program areas of focus in support of affordable housing development and services.

The Access to Housing and Economic Assistance for Development (AHEAD) Program allows our members to support economic development and housing projects during the critical conception and early development stages. In 2009, the Bank's Board of Directors doubled funding for AHEAD, from $500,000 to $1 million, and I am pleased to announce that the Board has renewed the same level of support for 2010. Individual grants are expected to average between $25,000 and $50,000.
