Coronavirus/COVID-19 Assumption of Risk and Waiver of Liability

Registration staff will not enforce vaccine checks or mask requirements.

Before you register, please review and agree to the SCANPH Assumption of Risk and Waiver outlined below. Don't attend the conference if you are ill, experiencing a fever or any COVID-19 symptoms, or have recently been in close contact with someone who has tested positive or been diagnosed with COVID-19. If you have recently tested positive, current CDC guidelines require five days of isolation plus five days of wearing a mask whenever in contact with others.

 Coronavirus/COVID-19 Assumption of Risk and Waiver of Liability:

The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19 is contagious and may be spread by person-to-person contact. As a result, federal, state, and local governments and federal and state health agencies recommend social distancing and have, in many locations, prohibited the congregation of groups of people.

Despite reasonable precautions taken, SCANPH cannot ensure that you will not be exposed to or contract COVID-19 as a result of participating in this event or related activities. By registering/attending this event, you acknowledge and understand all risks associated with possible exposure to and contraction of COVID-19, and are voluntarily participating in the event for your own benefit, the value of which is sufficient consideration for your voluntary execution of this agreement.

You further acknowledge that you understand and assume the risk that exposure to and contraction of COVID-19 may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of yourself and others, including, but not limited to, SCANPH employees, officers, representatives, agents, and any others present at the SCANPH event(s). Additionally, you agree to release and hold harmless SCANPH and its employees, officers, representatives, and agents from any and all alleged and/or actual liability, claims, actions, lawsuits, damages, or losses of any kind which arise out of or result from attendance at and participation in SCANPH event(s).

You understand and agree that this release includes any claims based on the actions, omissions, or negligence of SCANPH, its employees, officers, representatives, or agents. Attendee agrees to release and hold harmless SCANPH and its employees, officers, representatives, and agents from any and all claims, demands, and causes of action arising out of or relating to your participation in the event you are registering to participate in and use of any associated facilities or hotels. If any provisions contained in this agreement shall be invalid, illegal or unenforceable in any respect, under any applicable law, the validity, legality and enforceability of the remaining provisions contained herein shall not, in any way, be affected or impaired.
