Linkage Fee: LA Curbed Interview
On February 23rd, the Citywide Planning Commission took a historic step to make LA a more Livable City by approving an Affordable Housing Linkage Fee. The fee is now headed to the City Council. It could generate $80 million to $300 million per year for affordable housing.
SCANPH Policy Director Lisa Payne was interviewed by LA Curbed on the city’s plans for a linkage fee, and she shared the following: “If we want a livable city for everyone, we need this fee. We have so many people who cannot afford a place to live decently in the city.”
